I designed a movie poster for one of my favorites “Funny Face”. Funny Face features my favorite actress of all time Audrey Hepburn, who was very inspirational to me growing up as I discovered all of her iconic movies. I was very intrigued by the Art Deco movement and wanted to incorporate bold colors, bold and quirky typeface, and subtle texture to enhance the liveliness of the film.
Problem: To design a poster that feels relevant to the era of Funny Face (1957) in the style of Art Deco.
Solution: Funny Face is a movie that uses bold colors, bold dance movements, and bold fashion. I incorporated these key elements from the movie using inspiration from the Art Deco movement. The viewer can see these elements present in the bold images, typeface, color and texture.
